The chopping and serving boards on this page are all made by Graeme in his Margate workshop, just south of Hobart. Graeme sources his timber in log form from Island Specialty Timbers. He mills the logs in his horizontal bandsaw mill and thendries it - air dry for 12 months followed by 2 weeks in the kiln. As a result he is able to supply superior quality Tasmanian timbers. Please be aware that boards can be custom made to your requirements.
The pictures below are indicative of quality and style and most have been sold. However boards are constantly being made and can be made to order.
Sassafras: Blackheart Sassafras is now very difficult to obtain and very expensive when available. As a result Blackheart Sassafras boards will only be available via the Wood on Salamanca stall at the Salamanca Market.
