Camphor Laurel is a superior timber for the production of chopping boards.  Sought and shipped all over the world they provide a very attractive board from an eco friendly timber.  Camphor is an introduced species to Australia, grows quickly and is considered undesirable in the environment. EXCEPT that the timber from the mature tree is sought after.  Not only is it an attractive timber it comes in wide, stable pieces.  Containing camphor, it has one of the lowest bacteria counts of any board.
